"Destemmed, fermented on skins for 7 days, matured 12 months in French oak (20% new). Zesty, easygoing style that is bound to find favour with those seeking something bright in flavour with a touch of textural appeal. And it's so versatile food-wise, too. Pear, baked apple and citrus forms the basis of this lively youngster, supported by brisk acidity. Slurps up the new oak and gives back in smooth texture and background mealiness. Top drinking for the price."

The grapes were destemmed and split to release the juice then gently pressed to tank. The fermentation was cool at around 12 degrees to retain as much of the delicate aromas as possible. There was also a small number of older oak barriques used to add complexity.
