Limited Release Duriff 2021
"Excellent wine at this price."
Minimum order of 1 case or 6 bottles (Mixed or straight)
Characterized in the vineyard by its small berries and tight bunches, the Limited Release Durif is a deeply-coloured, full-bodied red wine - most similar to Shiraz - and similarly grown in our Heathcote vineyards. Loved by our cellar door and winemaking teams, this Northeast Victorian icon is rich in tannins, dark fruit, and spice.
Try this Durif with a powerful cassoulet that is packed with duck, pork belly and spicy sausage. Or why not roast an eye fillet to rare and slice it thinly and top with a juniper infused red wine jus. For cheese a classic aged cheddar complements the tannins in a young Durif.
Following fermentation, the wine spent 12 months in new oak (8%), and the balance in older American oak puncheons and barriques.
| Vineyard Region | Heathcote |
| Wine Analysis | Alc/Vol: 13.5% |
| Colour | The wine is a deep saturated black red colour with a vibrant purple hue. |
| Aroma | Aromas of spice, tobacco and dark berry fruits leap out of the glass. |
| Palate | The use of predominantly older oak has given the palate an elegance and refinement that is not usually found in young Durif. Blackberry and plum fruit flavours are also a strong influence on the palate, offering an impressive intensity and a full-bodied finish. |
| Peak Drinking | Cellaring potential until 2030. |
| Growing Conditions | The durif grapes used to make this wine were grown at Brown Brothers’ Heathcote Vineyard in central Victoria. The fruit was harvested from late February to mid March at a baumé level of 13.1. |

"I am not Big Snob who judge Wine by the Price and etc. I love Brown Brothers Venue often there . Bought many times wine there and online . Need to say Durif 2021 is nice to drink for everyday glass or 2 , previous i had was even nicer . I like Shiraz and Cab Sav . Last time I bought Limited 2014 Shiraz and 2014 CabSav . Both of them were amazing for me with 5 stars . This time I bought Durif and 2019 Limited Cab Sav and 2019 Cabernet Savignion is very opposite to what I had before . No taste , Very watery (Using now for cooking ) I am not buying wine to save money , I am buying becouse I know the place and trust , obviously to enjoy ."
"Look forward to drinking in 5+ years, have some 2015 and 2016 bottles remaining hence the 2021 can be saved. This wine benefits greatly from cellaring developing more complex flavours and softening of the tanins associated with this variety when young."
"This durif is a stunner. A beautiful purple colour, big bold flavours. Yum!!!"
"Durif 2021 is just the best wine, I love it, so smooth. Always go back to order again and again."
"Excellent"
"The 2021 limited release of the BB Durif wine follows a long time favourite of mine from central Victoria. I have always enjoyed the bold rich flavour of the Durif varietal, especially from this winemaker. They are the total experts with deep red colour, and strong but smooth tannins. Dont just go with the normal good red varietals, enjoy a serious specialty. you will not forget it, I guarantee that. Glenn."
"We did a wine tasting at Brown Brothers winery in January. We bought some Durif and used it with friends. Liked it so much that we decided to buy another 6."
