Dave Brookes - Halliday Wine Companion • 27/06/2024A great-value blend of 55% chardonnay and 45% pinot noir from the Tamar Valley. Pale straw with energetic, fine bead and mousse. Notes of crunchy green apple and citrus fruits with the gentle lift of autolysis showing hints of brioche, apple turnover, crushed stone, white flowers, shortbread and distant fennel tones. Expansive with lovely biscuity tones, tight, minerally acidity and a crisp, dry finish of great vitality.
Free run juice and light pressings are oxidatively handled. Cool fermentation in tank. Tirage and secondary ferment in bottle (Traditional Method) was followed by 2.5 years on lees before disgorging.
