Dave Brookes - Halliday Wine Companion • 12/02/2024Light with green flashes and characters of crunchy Granny Smith, melon, custard apple and citrus with hints of lime zest, white flowers, marzipan and stone. The lime aspect increases on the palate, along with lemon zest, and the finish is crisp and vivid thanks to that sizzling Tasmanian acidity. Great, steely drinking with plenty of energy and crunchy fruit.
The Riesling fruit was machine harvested and got some skin contact in bins before top loading in to presses. The juice was cold settled until clean and bright. The wine was fermented in steel tanks under strict temperature control to maximise the integrity and impact of the vibrant fruit flavours. The wine was made using a range of vegan friendly fining agents.
