Brown Brothers

Pinot Grigio Zero

This is our first release of the Pinot Grigio Zero. In the glass the wine is a pale straw colour with a youthful green hue. The nose is bursting with crisp pear and peach aromas, while the palate offers distinct savoury characters and a tight finish. Unlike the French style which is richer on the palate, Pinot Grigio is crisp, fresh and savoury. True to Pinot Grigio style, this is best served chilled and enjoyed while young and fresh.

Food Pairings

This versatile wine is proving to be a popular choice for any occasion, with or without food. Try this wine with olive oil and garlic spaghetti with artichoke, Kalamata olives, goats cheese and fresh chilli. Alternatively, this wine is always a great match to an antipasto platter containing artichokes, olives, asparagus and prosciutto.

Growing Conditions

The Pinot Grigio grapes used to make this wine were mainly grown in the upper reaches of the King Valley from our own Banksdale vineyard. The fruit was harvested during March and early April at baumé levels ranging from 11.5 to 12.5. The wine was bottled soon after the alcohol was removed using the spinning cone distillation technology and was completed with an alcohol less than 0.5%.

Dry July test run!

"The search continues for a genuinely good no/lo wine. This Pinot Grigio is the best still white we have tried so far; not too sweet but still tastes a bit like grape juice. Lacks mouth feel and texture. Please keep developing and experimenting with this, I’d love you to come up with a no/lo I actually want to drink rather than make do with…"
