Patricia Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Minimum order of 1 case or 6 bottles (Mixed or straight)
The fruit was sourced from premium Victorian vinayrds, to bring together a complex and well-balenced expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. Individual parcels were matured in new and aged French oak barriques for 18 months before being blended to achieve concentrated fruit character and subtle tannins giving this wine sensationnal length and cellaring potential. Patricia would have loved it.

This concentrated red wine would make a great partner to Venison Bourguignon with roasted potatoes in their jackets. It could also be enjoyed with a selection of aged cheddar cheese at the end of a meal.

Jeni Port, 2023 Halliday Wine Companion • 12/04/2022Always a strength in the Patricia range, this cabernet style is effortless and all class. Quality of fruit is the star, with oak bringing a layer of nuance and complexity to a solid core of cassis and plum fruits with bracken, earth, violets, cassia bark and a dusting of powdery cocoa. Brings both cabernet leafiness and spiced-filled liveliness to the finish. A joy to drink.

The wine was destemmed and crushed to open top fermenters in the Kindergarten Winery. The wine spent two years in 47% new, and the balance older French oak barriques. A number of blending trials took place to produce a very intense and powerful wine from a low yielding vines. Vegan-friendly.
