This smooth and elegant Shiraz has dark berry fruit flavours and gentle pepper spice, Estate bottled in Milawa.
This juicy Shiraz would be perfect with beef carpaccio drizzled in olive oil and topped with cracked black pepper and shaved parmesan cheese. Or try it with a Szechwan pepper coated tuna steak cooked medium rare with a light green salad.
Following harvest, the grapes were crushed and destemmed and fermented on skins for 5 to 7 days. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine was matured for 12 months with 15% of the wine in new and older French and American oak barriques and puncheons. This wine is plant based and made to be vegan-friendly.
Bright brick red colour and medium-bodied in style.
This wine has fantastic lifted aromas of red and dark berry fruits and the classic pepper notes of Heathcote Shiraz.
The aromas follow through to the palate with generous juicy fruit and a fine tannin structure.
This supple Shiraz drinks well now but will continue to develop and add complexity until 2026.
The fruit is grown in the renowned Heathcote Vineyard, and harvested during the first half of March at baumé levels ranging from 14.0 to 15.0, producing rich and flavoursome Shiraz grapes.
