2021 Patricia Shiraz
Brown Brothers

Minimum order of 1 case or 6 bottles (Mixed or straight)
The Patricia Shiraz showcases the commitment to finding the best parcels of Victorian Shiraz for our flagship wine. We target a combination of cool and warm climate to give us the best opportunity to make a concentrated yet elegant style.
The Patricia Shiraz has a vibrant purple hue and a deep powerful inky core. The nose is ripe with dark fruits of blackberry and blueberry with a hint of cool climate pepper spice. The palate is intense and concentrated with great balance.
This wine pairs beautifully with bold flavors, such as crispy-skinned duck breast, grilled meats, or spiced dishes like Mongolian beef. For a cheese pairing, it complements creamy blue and aged cheddar varieties, adding depth to any occasion.

The Henty Shiraz had 15% whole bunch inclusion in the fermentation t promote structure and lifted red fruit flavour. All parcels spent 18 months in 36% new French oak with the balance in older oak barriques and puncheons before bottling. The wine was bottled with an alcohol of 13.5%.

Growing Conditions | The 2021 vintage was the first rain affected season for some vintages. In the spring of 2020, the conditions led to good fruit set, uniform ripening all be it with relative low yields. The below average ripening temperatures led to slow development and flavour ripeness at lower potential alcohol. This will be a more elegant Patricia Shiraz with beautiful spice notes. |
